Fences for pigs (cage)

To keep pigs you need a strong, durable and comfortable cage and to provide pigs with conditions for good weight gain, when choosing cages you need to follow several criteria:

1. Sufficient area. There are norms per head depending on the age group. They must be followed so that the pigs are not crowded.

2. Free access to clean drinking water.

3. Free access to feeders. This is just as important as access to water. Without creating "queues" to the feeders, to prevent fights.

4. The optimum temperature in the pig farm, without drafts and stagnation of air.

5. Timely cleaning of manure or a modern system of slotted floors.

For farrowing, rearing it is advisable to use fences made of PVC panels for piglets. For fattening, boars, pregnant sows - metal cages for pigs.

Metal cages are made of ferrous metal followed by a coating of hot zinc, plastic fences of durable solid or typesetting HPV panels and stainless steel.
